Storefront lighting for marquis retail establishment

While remodeling the flagship store of a multinational department store in Seattle, WA, designers challenged KLIK to capture the attention of customers on the street with unique lighting. But they didn’t want the traditional “glare bomb” approach, creating a pulsating glow at the front of the establishment.Instead they wanted subtle. Soft.  Warm.  Welcoming.  Almost an ethereal presence of light, but not much more.

Working with KLIK Systems, the designer specified the Ledpod XL32, at its lowest output level, with a custom lens of high opacity, painted to blend with the surrounding metalwork.  This was installed within the canopy of the entrance along the length of the storefront.

The result is a floating cloud of illumination, and with a gentle glow, inviting customers inside.
