Natural Beauty: A Closer Look at the Microsoft Treehouses

“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”

-Albert Einstein

We blogged about the Microsoft Treehouses a few months ago but have since had the chance to see these truly impressive structures in person.  What struck us as remarkable was how well the treehouses were integrated into their forest environment, almost paying homage to the beauty of their surroundings.

We were on the Microsoft campus as the sun was setting and being in the treehouses almost gave the feel of being around a campfire — the lighting gives a warm, inviting glow that does not detract from the forest, yet makes it safe and comfortable for people to continue to use the structures.

Congratulations to Seattle-based lighting designers Dark Light Design and Pete Nelson of TV’s Treehouse Masters on the inspiring design behind these treehouses.  We’re delighted to have our products included in such a unique and beautiful project.

Project Details: KLIK LEDpod™ 40 and KLIK LEDpod™ XL28 Flat in custom enclosure.

More Info: If you missed our earlier blog about this project, you can read it here.

Special thanks to Microsoft for allowing us to come onsite to photograph this project.
